CCSO: Second student charged with making threats

PORT CHARLOTTE — For the second time in less than a week, Charlotte County Sheriff’s deputies have arrested a teenager accused of making threats at a public school.

A 16-year-old student at the Charlotte Harbor Center was arrested Monday after someone at the school found a noe with a written threat to commit violence on the student’s desk, the CCSO reported in a public statement.

On Monday, detectives went to the school at 22450 Hancock Ave., Port Charlotte to investigate “a note threatening violence.”…
