CAPE CORAL, Florida — A teenager was arrested following a high-speed chase and crash involving a stolen vehicle in Cape Coral, according to police. The incident began on September 21, 2025, when officers responded to a motor vehicle theft at a 7-Eleven on Chiquita Boulevard South.
The victim reported his maroon Kia Sorento stolen after leaving the keys inside while entering the store. Officers discovered a blue Honda CR-V nearby, which had been stolen from a residence near Gleason Parkway and Skyline Boulevard. The Honda had also struck a Suburban at the same location, causing damage to both vehicles.
While officers were speaking with the Kia owner, the stolen vehicle was spotted driving on Gleason Parkway. The Lee County Sheriff’s Office Aviation Unit later located the Kia traveling at high speed before it crashed into a utility pole and a dumpster at SW 28th Terrace and SW 17th Avenue…
