Workers tore apart the charred remains of Cape Coral’s Boathouse Tiki Bar & Grill on Sept. 18, 2025. The site, which sat unused for 11 months by the Yacht Club Public Beach, will soon transform into a new dining spot.
At 10 a.m., the work kicked off. Since its shutdown, the burnt building has blocked beach paths. As machines ripped through walls, people stood watching — some with tears, others with hope for what’s next.
“You’re saying goodbye to something old, and it’s just like having — this was just like my place,” a woman said per FOX 4 News. “I moved here from Kansas, from Wichita, Kansas, by myself and so this was my sanctuary. My peace.”…
