Investor acquires downtown office building

A 1,368-square-foot downtown office building has sold in Fort Myers. The building is at 2431 First Street across from the Fort Myers Regional Library. The buyer, a local investor using an LLC, paid $500,000 for it. The previous owner, Gecko Holdings, paid $265,000 for it in 2015. Cushman & Wakefield, which brokered the deal, says the property was originally put up for lease but drew attention from buyers because of its location. The one-story building was first built in 1949 and renovated in 2017, according to Lee County property records and a profile on LoopNet. It has four private offices, a conference room, a private bathroom, a reception area, storage and a kitchenette, according to the profile.
