New OBGYN residency program aims to bring physicians to Southwest Florida

Lee Health is launching a new OBGYN residency program at Cape Coral Hospital to train the next generation of women’s doctors and combat an expected physician shortage in Southwest Florida.

According to the Association of American Medical Colleges, the U.S. could face a shortage of up to 86,000 physicians by 2036.
