Cape Coral police arrest two in major drug trafficking bust

CAPE CORAL, Florida — Two men have been arrested in connection with a significant drug trafficking operation in Cape Coral, according to the Cape Coral Police Department. Julian James Garton-Miulli, a 27-year-old resident, and Sean Matthew Balke, a 52-year-old resident, face multiple charges following an extensive investigation.

The Cape Coral Police Department’s Narcotics Unit launched an investigation into Garton-Miulli on June 19, 2025, after receiving a tip about his involvement in distributing MDMA and THC/marijuana products. Detectives discovered that Garton-Miulli sold over 28 grams of MDMA from his residence. By August, he was confirmed to be engaged in MDMA trafficking, having been caught selling 22 grams.

On October 1, 2025, a search warrant was executed at Garton-Miulli’s residence at 540 SE 6th Place, where detectives found four handguns, an AR pistol, a rifle, two shotguns, over $5,600 in cash, six silver bars, and various drugs, including amphetamines, mushrooms, marijuana, THC gummies, and vape pens, MDMA, and a scale. Garton-Miulli was located driving a 2024 Kia Seltos and was subsequently arrested and taken to the Lee County Jail on multiple charges, including trafficking in MDMA and possession of controlled substances…
