International CultureFEST returns to Fishermen’s Village

Fishermen’s Village, in partnership with the Cultural Heritage Center of Southwest Florida, will present the 7th Annual International CultureFEST on Saturday, Oct. 25. Guests are encouraged to wear traditional clothing that reflects their heritage and take part in the Cultural “Parade of Nations” along the covered breezeway at noon.

Experience a colorful showcase of world cultures right in your own backyard. Pack your lawn chairs, beach blankets, sunblock — and even your drums — and help create a lively drum circle in a celebration of unity across the globe.

From noon to 6 p.m. in the covered breezeway, artisan vendors will present handmade crafts, accessories, gems and cultural exhibits from countries including the Bahamas, Chile, China, Colombia, Guatemala, India, Trinidad & Tobago, the Philippines, Ukraine and more. Enjoy a culinary journey with dishes inspired by the vibrant flavors of Indonesia, Southeast Asia, the Middle East, South America and the Caribbean.

Enjoy an afternoon of global music and cultural dance as performances take center stage, with DJ Gero at the Sunset Beach Club Stage from 1 to 5 p.m. The dynamic lineup features the Albanian American Organization Dance Group, Belly Dance Connection of SWFL, Christina Mundy, Asian Community Dance Crew, Kasayahan Filipino Dance Troupe, Alitaptap Dance Troupe of Sarasota, Ciai Tribal Troupe, Hula Connection, Angela Hicks, Emma Pham, Suvanee Wood, Olivia & Vivian Nguyen, Sultan’s Dreams, BELLadies HeArts of Dance, Lorelie’s Lovelies, Tri Color Dancers of Venezuela and others…
