PUNTA GORDA — Despite losing her pet Capuchin monkey, Gena Walck said Punta Gorda firefighters are heroes who did all they could to help her save Leah.
Walck, who founded Heaven Help Us Animal Refuge more than a decade ago in Punta Gorda, said the 9-year-old Capuchin was the nonprofit’s ambassador.
