A Fort Myers man was arrested after a family vacation turned ugly at a local resort.
A deputy responded to Windsor Cay Resort, located at 1217 Emerald Row Way, Clermont, regarding an altercation at the community pool at 3:20 p.m. Saturday, according to an arrest report from the Lake County Sheriff’s Office. Upon arrival, they met with 23-year-old Jean Carlos Gonzalez Torres and his stepbrother.
They were at the pool during a family vacation when an argument began between Gonzalez Torres’s stepbrother and stepfather. He heard how his stepbrother was talking to his stepfather and intervened by arguing himself, the report said.
Other family members advised that during this argument, Gonzalez Torres shoved his stepbrother first. Gonzalez Torres stated his stepbrother tried to punch him first, after which a physical altercation ensued between the two. Both sustained small cuts and scratches along their whole upper bodies, but neither wanted to press charges, the report said…
