Florida Woman Charged With Selling Fake Cocaine

Everyone knows it’s a crime to sell illegal drugs, but authorities in Florida say they’ve charged a suspect with selling fake cocaine.

The Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office said the CCSO Narcotics Unit and SWAT officers executed a search warrant at a property on Pendergrass Avenue in Punta Gorda early Wednesday and found cocaine, firearms, and other drug paraphernalia.

In addition to familiar drugs and weapons charges, one of the suspects faces an unusual charge of “sale and delivery in lieu of cocaine” for allegedly “selling an unknown substance that they attempted to pass off as cocaine,” the sheriff’s office said…
