Southwest Florida’s Frantz EyeCare, started more than 30 years ago by Dr. Jonathan M. Frantz, celebrated another milestone this year – its 10th year providing free cataract surgery to those who can’t afford it.
Cataracts are a clouding of this natural lens – a natural part of aging but some are caused by birth defects, injuries, medications, infections, radiation, toxic substances or severe electric shock.
