Yacht Club expansion delay and its impact

The disappointment I have for this runaway project and the level of disrespect for the residents of the southeast Cape it has exposed has me concerned.

The project, originally envisioned as a modest renovation, has evolved into a full-scale, large-dollar rebuild following severe damage from Hurricane Ian and the discovery of failing seawalls. The current plan is estimated at $225 million, making it the largest project in Cape Coral’s history. Think about that, the largest project in Cape history, from $12 million to $225 million. Someone needs to be drug tested.

This includes a new marina, resort-style pool, community center, parking garage, and other amenities. Why so much? Why not in affordable phases that returns it to use quickly?…
