Married couple, woman killed in Florida boating incident

CAPE CORAL, Fla. (WFLA) — A weekend boating trip ended in tragedy after three people were killed on the Caloosahatchee River Saturday.

The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission said a 39-foot boat carrying four people was heading to the Cape Coral Yacht Club when the incident happened.

Two people on board, 49-year-old Brenna Millet of Cape Coral and 48-year-old Rebecca Knight of Cape Coral, were killed in the incident. Another man on board, Neal Kirby, was hospitalized for his injuries.

Brenna Millet’s husband, 56-year-old Craig Millet, was initially missing from the scene, but was found dead on Sunday at around 12:30 p.m.

The FWC was joined by the United States Coast Guard (USCG), Cape Coral Police Department, Cape Coral Fire Department, Lee County Sheriff’s Office, and Lee County EMS in the emergency response…
