It is with deep sadness that Keep Lee County Beautiful, Inc. (KLCB) announces the passing of Rudy Busch, former Executive Director, who passed away on Monday, Nov. 17.
Busch devoted 25 years to leading KLCB during which time he played a key role in shaping the organization and in laying the groundwork for many of the environmental and recycling initiatives that still benefit Lee County today. Under his leadership, the seeds were planted for county-wide recycling efforts, helping bring organized recycling to Lee County beginning in the early 1990s. His early stewardship helped launch and build programs that have evolved into critical services for our community.
