Lehigh Acres man accused of street racing at 120 mph, resisting arrest

LEHIGH ACRES, Fla. — A Lehigh Acres man was arrested after being accused of driving at 120 mph and resisting arrest on Sunday.

According to the Lee County Sheriff’s Office, at around 9:08 p.m., a deputy was on patrol when they noticed two cars traveling at high speeds on Lee Boulevard. The deputy estimated the vehicles to be traveling at 115 mph and appeared to be street racing.

The deputy began pacing one of the vehicles, a Chrysler, using his calibrated patrol car, and paced the Chrysler at 120 mph, LCSO said…
