Lee County enhances park safety with AED installations

LEE COUNTY, Fla. — Lee County expanded its safety measures by installing over 250 automated external defibrillators (AEDs) at recreational sites, including more than 70 in parks like Lakes, Buckingham, and Three Oaks, to address the nearly 30 annual cardiac-related calls originating from these areas.

Roland Jennex, a regular visitor to Lakes Park, expressed his approval of the AED installations, noting the added safety they provide.

“We usually come over to do some hiking. I think it’s a great added feature to the park. It has enough to offer already, but that’s a good safety net,” Jennex said…
