Fort Myers police arrest man accused of damaging catholic school flagpole

FORT MYERS, Fla. — A man in Fort Myers was arrested after being accused of vandalizing a place of worship.

Officers with the Fort Myers Police Department say that on Dec. 8, Hunter Zachary Thompson, 24, bent a flagpole at St. Francis Xavier Catholic School, costing it over $5,000 in damage.

According to the arrest report, after Thompson bent the flagpole, he went to a local pizza restaurant. FMPD sent out a post on social media searching for him…
