A Florida man is facing charges for allegedly fatally shooting his landlord during an altercation, authorities said.
The Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office said deputies responded to a reported shooting on the 23000 block of Van Buren Avenue in Port Charlotte at around 1:39 p.m. Wednesday. The suspect, identified as 38-year-old Jordan Patrick Ruddy, was located at the scene and taken into custody.
Investigators determined Ruddy was involved in a physical altercation with his landlord at the residence. During the altercation, Ruddy allegedly discharged a firearm “several times,” killing his landlord, who was not immediately named…
