Award-winning blues rock guitarist, songwriter and vocalist Ronnie Baker Brooks will perform live at Arts Bonita in Bonita Springs on Sunday, Feb. 1, 2026. With his 2024 Alligator Records debut album, Blues In My DNA, Ronnie — son of legendary multiple GRAMMY Award nominee, Blues Hall Of Famer, and longtime Alligator Records recording star Lonnie Brooks — delivers an up-to-the-minute masterpiece. The album, the fifth of his career, is firmly rooted in the blues with Ronnie incorporating his own brand of rock, funk and soul to the mix. “I just play what I feel,” he says. “It’s all from the heart.” Produced by famed studio wizard Jim Gaines (who has produced Santana, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Lonnie Brooks, Luther Allison and many others), “Blues In My DNA” is a career-defining statement from Baker Brooks, with each of the 11 original songs its own chapter in his ever-evolving story.
Recently, Brooks won the Living Blues Critics’ Award for Blues Artist Of The Year (Male) as well as Best New Recording/Contemporary for his Alligator Records debut, “Blues In My DNA.” Brooks also won three 2025 Blues Music Awards. He won Song Of The Year for “Blues In My DNA”, the title track from his Alligator Records debut. He also won the awards for Contemporary Blues Album Of The Year (for “Blues In My DNA”) and for Contemporary Blues Artist Of The Year (Male)…
