Macedonia Human Services Cultural Training Center Inc. has partnered with the First Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church to co-organize the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Community Parade & Rally Celebration for 2026, scheduled for the third Monday in January (Jan. 19).
The theme for the 2026 parade is “The Struggle Continues; We Will Not Quit!” — from the scripture: “Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.” (1 Corinthians 15:58)
During this event, a county-wide parade is organized and implemented in honor of the extraordinary efforts, influences and accomplishments of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. toward peace, justice and equal opportunity for all. The parade is followed by a rally program, at which a local citizen is recognized with the MLK Award, as well as dignitaries, sponsors and a theme speaker.
