Strong cold front to move through the Gulf Coast Sunday

FORT MYERS, Fla. — A strong cold front is on the way to the Gulf Coast, and it will usher in big changes to our weather. First, things will get breezier throughout the day today. Then, a low-end rain chance will develop with the passage of this cold front this afternoon.

In the wake of this front, very cold air will flush into the region and drop our temperatures from the low 70s around midday today down to the 30s by Monday morning. Wind chills will be near freezing as well, and for that reason, a cold weather advisory is in effect from midnight until 9 a.m.
