COLLIER COUNTY, Fla. (WWSB) – A 23-year-old man was arrested after allegedly leading law enforcement on a high-speed chase across three counties, Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) said.
FHP troopers responded around 3:45 p.m. Jan. 31 to a request for assistance from the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office and the North Port Police Department regarding an incident where a suspect had fled in a 2025 blue Lexus SUV on Interstate 75.
Troopers located the vehicle in Lee County and attempted a traffic stop on I-75, but the driver, 23-year-old Wilnick Brutus, allegedly fled southbound at a high rate of speed. The pursuit continued into Collier County…
