CAPE CORAL, Florida — A road rage incident in Cape Coral led to the arrest of a local woman after she allegedly caused property damage, according to the Cape Coral Police Department.
On February 5, 2026, at approximately 1:10 p.m., officers responded to the intersection of Del Prado Boulevard North and NE Pine Island Road following reports of a road rage incident. The victims reported that while traveling eastbound on NE Pine Island Road, a white Chevrolet Traverse attempted to block them from changing lanes in a construction zone. After merging, the driver of the Chevrolet reportedly became aggressive, making obscene gestures and yelling.
The victims later discovered a dent and scratch on the passenger side of their vehicle, estimated at $1,200 in damage. The suspect’s vehicle, a 2016 white Chevrolet Traverse, was registered to 24-year-old Maggie L. Meaney, of Cape Coral, Florida. Initially, officers were unable to locate the vehicle or suspect.
