James Wilder has been battling Stage IV colon cancer that has moved to his liver. He now faces the final stages of his life without the support of his parents, relying solely on small donations from friends to make it through.
Facing terminal cancer while living out of a suitcase and trying not to lose the remainder of their belongings that are currently in a storage unit is something no one should ever have to experience. With the costs of housing being as high as it is, and his inability to work, it leaves him with no means to pay for end-of-life care.
Also recently discovered- the social worker/patient advocate improperly filed his disability application by not marking his diagnosis as terminal, resulting in him losing his insurance. As it currently stands, he doesn’t even qualify for Medicare until December, which by that time may be too late…
