Man who spent decades in and out of jail kickstarts ‘Caprio ReEntry & Peer Mentoring’

PORT CHARLOTTE — The world is a lot bigger than a 6-by-9 cell.

Antonio Stewart, who spent 23 years in and out of jail, is kickstarting a business called Caprio ReEntry and Peer Mentoring. His new business will help people coming out from behind bars to get back on their feet.

Stewart was recently approved by the Florida Department of Corrections as an official entity that can help people upon their release. Stewart said the FDOC added Caprio to its official community resource list…
