UPDATE: Armed robbery suspect leads Lee County deputies on high-speed chase

UPDATE Feb. 11:

A Lehigh Acres man is facing multiple felony charges after Lee County deputies said he robbed a woman at gunpoint, then lead law enforcement on a high-speed chase through Lee County and Cape Coral before barricading himself inside a Fort Myers home.

The Robbery

According to the police report, the incident began around 10:38 a.m. when deputies said Angel Perez went into a home on Golfview Boulevard in Lehigh Acres while the victim was sleeping.

Deputies said Perez woke the woman up and demanded money he claimed she owed him. When she refused, the sheriff’s office said he pulled out a gun and demanded her cell phone, threatening to harm her if she didn’t do it…
