Mild and dry Saturday night for the Gulf Coast, Increasing moisture starting Sunday

FORT MYERS, Fla. — Most of the Gulf Coast is expected to see mostly dry weather Saturday night, along with comfortable temperatures. Expect overnight lows across Southwest Florida to settle near 60 degrees.

Sunday will offer an increase in moisture as winds shift to a more southernly direction. Rain chances will remain low, but a few isolated showers are possible Sunday evening.

In addition to increasing moisture, wind speeds will also increase and gust up to 20 mph could be possible later in the afternoon.

Rain coverage will continue to expand late Sunday night and into Monday morning, as a cold front will help to provide some instability, increasing rain chances. Rain totals should remain on the low side, but a few pockets of heavier rain cannot be ruled out. A few isolated thunderstorms are also possible, but severe weather is unlikely. Rain will be favored Monday morning before drier weather moves in Monday night…
