As storms move out, we clear and warm up

SARASOTA, Fla. (WWSB) – The cold front that brought strong storms overnight is pushing south of the Suncoast. A few leftover showers may still be moving south this morning, but the severe weather threat has ended for everyone. Skies will gradually clear from north to south after sunrise. Winds are turning northwest and remain breezy for a few hours, especially along the coast and over the Gulf waters.

Later, into the afternoon, sunshine returns across the Tampa Bay area, Sarasota, Bradenton, and down toward Charlotte County. High temperatures reach the low 70s under mostly sunny skies. Despite the front, it will not turn sharply colder. Northwest winds around 10 mph will ease later in the day.

Tonight will be clear and comfortable, with lows dropping into the 50s inland and near 60 along the immediate coast…
