Lee County has set March 31 as the final day for homeowners to apply for disaster recovery assistance tied to Hurricanes Helene and Milton.
After weeks of back-and-forth over funding and timelines, county commissioners have now drawn a line. Get your application in before the LeeCares portal closes.
“Income-eligible homeowners seeking assistance to repair, replace or reconstruct property that was damaged by Hurricane Helene and/or Milton have until March 31 to file applications to LeeCares before the application portal closes,” the county wrote in a press release Feb. 17.
