PUNTA GORDA — Dave Anthony didn’t have to think too hard about who should be standing in the pitcher’s circle for the past three years.
The Charlotte High softball coach turned to ace Dava Hoffer to pitch more than 65% of the team’s innings in each of the past three seasons, including a career-high 154 ⅔ (of 173 total team innings) in her senior season last spring.
With Hoffer now graduated and playing at State College of Florida, Anthony and the Tarpons have to figure out how to move forward…
