Senior living facility gets new operator

American House Senior Living Communities has added a property to its already-bulging portfolio. This one is in Fort Myers. The Michigan company has taken over the management of what was formerly known as The Palms of Fort Myers and rebranded it American House The Palms. The community is owned by Ventas Inc., which bought it in January. The Chicago company paid $20.59 million for the property, according to Lee County property records. This is the 14th Ventas property American House operates. Financial terms of the arrangement were not disclosed. At 2674 Winkler Ave., the 218-unit facility is made up of 148 independent living, 47 assisted living and 23 memory care apartments ranging from studio to one- and two-bedrooms.
