People in Rotonda West aren’t sitting quietly as new development plans roll in. The big topic right now? Rotonda Quarters, a proposal for 212 new apartments in the heart of Parade Circle. Residents have been meeting, and many are pushing back against the plan.
The project calls for a mix of 113 one-bedroom and 99 two-bedroom apartments, each pretty compact, between 688 and 955 square feet. They’d add a pool and rental office, too.
There is concern among the residents. People worry about traffic, crowding, and whether the area’s infrastructure can handle even more people. There’s also a lot of talk about empty homes sitting unsold already, so many locals don’t see the need for more units…
