Eagles Travel to Myrtle Beach for Michael A. Marino Classic

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. – The No. 50 Florida Gulf Coast University men’s golf team will travel to Myrtle Beach, S.C., to compete in the inaugural Michael A. Marino Classic on March 15-17 at the Dunes Golf & Beach Club. Representing the Eagles will be Nolan Harper, Sebastian Gamboa, Brett Moore, Christian Figueredo and Sacha Ruiz, while Brody Stevenson will compete as an individual.

The Michael A. Marino Classic will take place at the Dunes Golf & Beach Club, a par-72, 7,270-yard course. The tournament field features Baylor, Charleston, Coastal Carolina (host), Furman, Kansas State, Kent State, Liberty, No. 47 Little Rock, Louisiana, No. 33 Louisville, Michigan, Missouri, NC State, North Florida and No. 37 UNLV.

The last time out, FGCU captured a share of the team championship at The Johnnie-O at Sea Island, finishing at 42-under par to tie Georgia Southern for the top spot in a 15-team field that included four top-50 programs.
