Cape Coral man takes plea in drunken boating crash that injured 2 others

A Cape Coral man accused driving his boat drunk, accelerating and hitting a dock, injuring two others, took a plea deal.

Shawn Lynch, 30, on March 16 pleaded no contest to one count of boating under the influence causing serious bodily injury to another. As part of the plea deal, Assistant State Attorney Jonathan Howser dropped charges of drunken boating causing property damage and violating navigation rules causing serious bodily injury.
