Cape Christian mobilized hundreds of volunteers March 7 and 8 for Serve Day 2026, completing more than 100 service projects across four counties and nine cities throughout Southwest Florida.
Serve Day is a churchwide outreach initiative that partners with local nonprofits, schools, veterans organizations, environmental groups, law enforcement agencies and senior living communities to meet practical needs throughout the region.
Volunteers spent the weekend landscaping, painting, organizing donations, planting trees, assisting local schools and completing projects for community organizations that may not otherwise have the time or resources to address those needs. Teams also served local law enforcement agencies and senior living communities, offering hands-on support and encouragement.
“Serve Day is about loving our city well,” said Outreach Pastor Marco Villalobos of Cape Christian. “Whether the need is large or small, we believe showing up matters. When people come together to serve, it builds connection, strengthens our community and reminds people they are seen and valued.”…
