PORT CHARLOTTE — Charlotte County commissioners decided Wednesday to end the county ban on outdoor fires that’s been in effect for more than four months.
Commissioners voted 4-1 to rescind the ban that was put into place Dec. 9.
When in place, burn ban laws forbid most outdoor burning, including fire pits and fireworks. Bans can be enforced with fines. Permitted burns and barbecue grills are not part of the ban…
