FWC working to temporarily prohibit the importation of sloths into Florida

FORT MYERS, Fla. — The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission is working to finalize an executive order to temporarily prohibit the importation of sloths into the state of Florida, according to Executive Director Roger Young.

Young made the announcement during an FWC commission meeting in Fort Myers on Wednesday. The announcement comes after 55 sloths connected with the Sloth World attraction in Orlando died.
