IMPD opens murder investigation after shooting victim dies

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — An April shooting on the east side of Indianapolis is now being investigated as a homicide, police said.

Just before 2 p.m. on Wednesday, April 22, Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers responded to a shooting in the 200 block of South German Church Road. That’s a residential area just off of U.S. 40, north of Paul Ruster Park.

Officers arrived and found a man who had been shot. He was taken to a local hospital in critical condition…
