City of Carmel moving up trash pickup times due to ‘extreme’ weather, heat wave

CARMEL, Ind. — The City of Carmel has announced a change in its trash pickup schedule for next week, citing “extreme weather conditions” and a potential heat wave.

The new start time for next week’s trash schedule will be 5 a.m. instead of the usual 7 a.m., officials confirmed Friday. The adjustment is reportedly an attempt by Republic Services to “protect drivers from high temperatures.”
