GIBSON CO., Ind. (WFIE) – Gibson County Sheriff’s Office officials say an Indianapolis man is in jail after stealing a dog from a vehicle at Pilot Travel Center near Haubstadt on Wednesday.
According to a press release, when deputies arrived on scene, they spoke with the victims who told them they were in the parking lot talking to a man who identified himself as Gregory Morton.
The victims say then went into the convenience store and upon exiting, they discovered their dog was missing from their vehicle and vehicle Morton was driving was also gone.
After a brief investigation, deputies located the vehicle and the dog at the Clarion Pointe located approximately 8 miles south of the Pilot…
