LIVE: Tornado Warnings issued in Marion County

INDIANAPOLIS — A Tornado Warning has been issued in Marion County and is expected to last until 6 p.m.

Severe weather was slated to sweep across central Indiana Saturday afternoon.

Ahead of the Saturday’s severe weather event, FOX59/CBS4’s weather team projected that rain could fall throughout the day. Early projections suggested there was only a 2% chance of a tornado occurring throughout the vast majority of Indiana. The highest chances for a tornado were observed in points south and east of Indianapolis.

The National Weather Service also issued a Flood Watch early Saturday morning. The watch encompassed counties as far north as St. Joseph and as far south and Monroe. Counties on each side of Indiana’s state borders with Illinois and Ohio were also under the watch…
