$15.1 million townhome project opens for lower-income households

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Indianapolis officials and community partners on Tuesday celebrated the opening of the Bridges Townhomes at Sherman Park, a $15.1 million project on the city’s Near Eastside.

The development features 43 units across seven buildings on 1.7 acres of the park, located along LaSalle Street between St. Clair and North streets.

Eleven units are designated as permanent housing for families transitioning out of homelessness through the city’s care network. Some families moved from the nearby Wheeler Mission’s Center for Women and Children, marking the mission’s first permanent housing project…
