Docs: Indy mother charged with neglect after baby died while she was drunk

INDIANAPOLIS — An Indianapolis mother is wanted on felony neglect charges after her 7-month-old baby died after being left alone while she was allegedly drunk.

According to court documents, Nasha Williams faces a Level 1 Felony for neglect of a dependent resulting in death and neglect of a dependent, which is a Level 6 Felony.

The investigation began on March 30 when dispatch reported that a baby was not awake and not breathing at a home in the 1400 block of S. Bancroft Street on Indy’s east side. An officer with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department’s Child Abuse Unit responded and reported observing a 7-month-old baby in the arms of its mother, who was identified as Williams…
