GREENWOOD, Ind. — Court documents reveal that a man who never received a license in the United States was allegedly drinking and snorting meth when he slammed into the back of a turning vehicle.
Edgardo Serrano, 44, of Indianapolis was charged on Sept. 1 with one count of leaving the scene of an accident resulting in serious injury, a Level 3 felony; one count of operating a vehicle while intoxicated and causing serious injury, a Level 5 felony; and one count of operating a vehicle without a license and possession of methamphetamine, both Level 6 felonies.
According to court documents, Greenwood police were called to the area of S. Emerson Avenue and Paradise Court at roughly 10:48 a.m. on Aug. 23 for a personal injury crash. Officers on scene soon determined a Dodge Durango had slammed into the back of a turning Audi, sending the vehicle spinning into the median.
Witnesses said the Durango was traveling at a high rate of speed before the collision. Two men allegedly exited the Durango and walked away from the crash scene…
