Indiana parents are fighting for medical care their children were supposed to have, and the anger spilling out across the state is becoming difficult to miss.
An IndyStar investigation found that more than 190,000 Indiana children have lost Medicaid coverage since January 2025, while nearly half of recipients up for renewal between January and March were disenrolled. Crucially, 97.8% of those removals were for procedural reasons rather than confirmed ineligibility.
