INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — A few locally heavy downpours are possible for parts of the state today.

We’re waking up to mild temperatures with mostly cloudy skies across the area. A few isolated showers and thunderstorms have developed in Central Indiana. This morning, rain coverage will be spotty, though brief downpours are possible at times.
We’ll see an increase in shower and thunderstorm activity this afternoon, especially along and south of Interstate 70. Storms will likely move slowly, potentially producing heavy rainfall in some areas. No severe weather is expected, but lightning strikes could cause delays for outdoor activities this afternoon.
High temperatures will reach the mid to upper 60s north of I-70 and the low to mid 70s to the south.
