INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — A man was sentenced Wednesday to 64 years in prison for the 2023 murder of his roommate on the city’s south side.
The Marion County Prosecutor’s Office announced Wednesday that Osmin Martinez has been sentenced to 64 years in prison for his role in the shooting death of Angel Rodriguez Arriaga. In April, Martinez was found guilty of murder after a three-day jury trial.
“It’s completely egregious that someone believed that pulling the trigger was the appropriate resolution to their conflict,” said Prosecutor Ryan Mears. “Angel did nothing wrong and ultimately lost his life because the defendant’s inability to deescalate a simple disagreement.”…
