Man sentenced for 2023 fatal shooting of pizza delivery driver

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — An Indianapolis man was sentenced Friday to 63 years in the Indiana Department of Correction for the 2023 fatal shooting of a pizza delivery driver.

The Marion County Prosecutor’s Office announced Friday that Justin Turner has been sentenced to 63 years in the Indiana Department of Correction his role in the March 2023 shooting death of Steve Flynn. In March, Turner was convicted of two counts of murder, robbery resulting in serious bodily injury, and unlawful possession of a firearm by a serious violent felon after a court trial.

“It’s hard to put into words the senselessness this crime. Steve was a family man who wanted to make people happy by delivering pizza and providing extra financial support for his family in the process,” said Prosecutor Ryan Mears. “He was a good man who did not deserve to lose his life over what amounted to a few dollars.”…
