Fortville man sentenced 10 years for breaking woman’s nose, threatening her with loaded firearm

HANCOCK COUNTY, Ind. — A Fortville man has been sentenced for his role in what investigators labeled a “brutal” domestic incident.

According to a news release, Reymundo Blanco has been sentenced to a total of 10 years, with seven of those being executed in the Department of Correction followed by three years of probation.

The investigation into Blanco began on Feb. 17, 2024, when officers with the Fortville Police Department were called around 9:13 a.m. to a residence in response to a reported domestic incident.

When officers arrived, they spoke with the victim’s sister, who informed them that Blanco was inside the residence with the victim and their mother. FPD said officers found the victim suffering from multiple physical injuries, and Blanco was detained on the scene…
