CARMEL, Ind. — The Carmel City-Council has passed new restrictions on rental homes with a unanimous vote on June 2.
Under the new ordinance, no more than 10% of the homes in a neighborhood can be rentals. Anyone hoping to rent out a home will have to register their property and apply for a permit from Carmel’s Department of Community Services.
